KUALA LUMPUR:Well-known preacher, Ustaz Ebit Lew, will fully sponsor the cost of education for an outstanding student, Nurul Asma Alya Mohd Zainal, to further her studies at the accounting degree level overseas.<br /> <br /> In an update on his Facebook page, Ebit said, the sponsorship involves more than RM40,000 for a study period of two and a half years including accommodation.<br /> <br /> “Earlier, I contacted the university and they accepted her admission in April.<br /> <br /> "We also give away a laptop and router as well as wifi. The wifi by Digi (given) is free for a year, and we also give a little donation for her mother," he said in the update, on Thursday.<br /> <br /> Earlier, <em>Astro AWANI</em> reported that Nurul Asma, 22, who received an offer to further her studies abroad in the field of accounting, had to forget the offer due to financial constraints.<br /> <br /> Apart from that, the former Mara Professional College (KPM) student with a 3.95 CGPA also suffered from the lack of rice and side dishes in her house.<br /> <br /> Ebit said he felt sad after meeting the family because they cried and never stopped thanking him.<br /> <br /> He added that he rushed to Tumpat, Kelantan upon hearing the story about the student.<br /> <br /> "As I reached the door of their home, Nurul Asma Alya and her mother cried loudly. O Allah, my prayer has been granted.<br /> <br /> “I read the story of this student of MRSM Tumpat who excelled in her studies.<br /> <br /> "Only tears can describe the sadness of an excellent student in Kampung Banggol Petani, Wakaf Bharu because she had to forget her ambition to further her studies in accounting at the degree level abroad," he added.<br /> <br /> Ebit, at the same time, hoped that Nurul Asma can achieve success and succeed in making her family happy in the future.
