KUALA LUMPUR: Using the donation from the Tunku Mahkota Johor, Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim, independent preacher, Ebit Lew, has purchased 500 units of special gadgets for students in need in the Teaching and Learning at Home (PdPR) session.
“Pray for us, please. Thank you TMJ. I used the donation to buy 500 tablets for 500 students to attend online classes.
"The gadgets have arrived. Today, we will distribute them to those in need. Hopefully, it will be a good cause," Ebit, who is popular with his concern for people in need, wrote in his latest post via Facebook.
On February 5, Tunku Ismail granted Ebit an audience at Istana Bukit Pelangi in Johor Bahru and made a personal contribution of RM200,000.
During the meeting, the Tunku Mahkota also expressed his admiration for Ebit's efforts in channelling aid to the needy from all over the country, including in Johor.
Tunku Ismail appreciates that Ebit often helped the people, especially those from the ‘asnaf’ and poor who needed help with donations and charitable efforts.
