The Education Ministry is satisfied with the price of food and drinks set by school canteen operators nationwide so far.
Second Education Minister Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh said from checks conducted, the ministry found that the price of food and drinks at school canteens did not burden students.

"The prices set are reasonable and do not burden the students or the canteen operators," he told reporters after a spot check to the canteen at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Tengku Mahmud here today.
Idris said canteen operators should maintain the current price of food and drinks , adding that their cooperation would avoid creating problem for students and parents.
