Education Ministry offices subject to Raya special occasion leave

Offices and institutions under the Education Ministry are subject to the July 10 'cuti peristiwa' (special occasion leave) announced by state governments.

According to the ministry in a statement today, the leave need not be replaced with a working day.

"Accordingly, the provision for this holiday applies in the declaration of Aidilfitri special occasion leave on July 10, 2016 as announced to date by Johor, Terengganu and Kedah state governments," it said.

The same rule would apply in Kelantan if the state were to declare a special occasion leave, it added.
