Education Ministry probes alleged sale of SPM papers

The Education Ministry is investigating the existence of a syndicate which allegedly sells Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination papers.
It said it takes serious view of the allegation which was reported in the China Press newspaper yesterday.
"The ministry is investigating the allegation and will not compromise with the parties involved.
"Action will be taken and they will be prosecuted by the authorities," it said in a brief statement today.
On November 9, the ministry denied the allegation of leakage of History Paper 1 and 2 as spread via the social media.
It said, the Malaysian Examinations Board investigation found no leakages and the candidates need not resit for the two papers.
