e-Filing: Taxpayers given until May 15 to submit tax returns
Taxpayers using the e-Filing system are given until May 15 to submit their income tax returns.
Inland Revenue Board (IRB) public relations officer Masrun Maslim when contacted by Astro AWANI said those who fail to do so will be fined 20 percent of the tax imposed on them.
Masrun said that the awareness among the public on the use of the e-Filing method had increased. IRB had targeted for three million people to use the method.
Meanwhile, for those using the conventional method are given until 12am, April 30,2014 for them to file their returns.
For individuals who are unable to send the forms themselves can send it through the drop box prepared in every IRB branch.
