Elderly woman bullied in viral video says "it is just a joke"

The victim in the 47-second clip says that everything was a joke and does not investigations to continue.
A video footage featuring an elderly woman being beaten by a couple of girls has gone viral since yesterday.
In the 47-second video, the Indian woman was seen being bullied and beaten up by a couple of girls in their living room.
Harsh words were also uttered in the video.
Following the video which went viral, netizens urge authorities to take action against the bullies.

Cheras police chief Chong Kok Sin however said based on preliminary investigations, the victim revealed that the incident in the video was a joke.
"This is a group of friends she stays with and that's how they joke with one another," Chong told news portal Malaysiakini.

There were also no signs of injuries on the woman and does not want investigations to continue.
Meanwhile, the woman in a video released said that her housemates were joking and urged the public not to create an issue over the incident.
“They were just joking with me. I am not staying with my children so they take care of me,” said the victim in Tamil.
Netizens however think otherwise and believe that the victim could have been threatened and pressured by the bullies into issuing such statement.
Meanwhile, Puchong MIC division Youth chief Subash Chandra Bose told Malaysiakini that they have visited the woman.
Subash has instructed MIC Youth members in Cheras to keep a close eye on her and to also assist as she is not doing well, financially and health-wise.
