KUALA LUMPUR: The Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) imposed on Kampung Serumah, Siburan, Serian Division in Sarawak will end as scheduled tomorrow, said Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
He said the decision was made based on the COVID-19 risk assessment undertaken by various agencies in the Movement Control Order (MCO) Technical Committee.
“The Health Ministry (MOH) confirmed that cases have dropped and clusters are under control with no results pending for test samples.
“So far MOH had conducted 462 screening tests and of this number, a cumulative total of 27 cases were recorded,” he said in a statement today.
On compliance with the standard operating procedure (SOP), he said 52 individuals were arrested yesterday for various offences, with 36 compounded and 16 remanded.
