Two areas in Selayang and Chow Kit are not subject to the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) but movement in and out of the area is limited.
According to Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, the government only tightened its control over the administration but did not declare EMCO in the area.
"We tightened control over the administration, maybe we control the barbed wire and control any entry or exit more strictly but only in administration.
"We also did a swap test for the people in the area," he said in a daily press conference here today.
Earlier, some media had reported that the Selayang area at Taman Wilayah and Taman Desa Bakti while the Chow Kit (area around Jalan Raja Bot) was subjected to the EMCO.
It is understood that the area around Raja Bot Market has about 3,000 people including Jalan Haji Hussein, Kampung Manggis and Jalan Raja Alang.
Director-General of Health, Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah had earlier said control and targeted checks would be made in the event of a COVID19 case in one area.
