Emma Stone's Best Looks
Happy 26th Birthday Emma Stone!! The popular funny girl and Hollywood fan favourite has had the best past couple of years in the entertainment industry! She has successfully transitioned to a lead actress with "The Help," had steamy scenes with hunk, Ryan Gosling in "Crazy, Stupid, Love" and wowed us in "The Amazing Spider-Man” alongside real-life boyfriend, Andrew Garfield (who happens to play her love interest in the films as well).
At a mere 26 years old, Emma Stone’s wildly fruitful film career mirrors her outstanding sartorial performance on the red carpet. These days, most young starlets have a blunder or two on the fashion front before coming into their own; Stone hasn’t faltered once and hits the mark time and again. She favours sophisticated, effortlessly put-together looks and dresses with flair and a unique quality to its design, while her magnetism, both on-screen and off, have charmed many a designer from Alber Elbaz of Lanvin to Chanel’s Karl Lagerfeld.
In honour of her birthday, we pick our favourite red-carpet looks from the talented ‘girl next door’, Miss Stone:
Chanel at the ‘Amazing Spider-Man 2’ Premiere in Berlin. The actress rocked a Chanel frock with metallic Brian Atwood heels.
Erdem at the ‘Amazing Spider-Man 2’ photocall in Berlin. The actress chose a lovely structured outfit with jewelled embellishments.
For the 2012 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund the actress selected a Burberry collection blue peplum and shimmery green skirt. Finishing off her look with Christian Louboutin pumps.
Valentino at the ‘Amazing Spider-Man 2’ premiere in Rome.
Emma Stone in Valentino at Elle's 19th Annual Women in Hollywood Celebration. A true fashionista, Emma Stone proves that menswear-inspired garb can look ladylike. She effortlessly mixed a hot pink long-sleeve collared dress and black-and-white houndstooth pumps. So chic.
Atelier Versace at the ‘Amazing Spider-Man 2’ world premiere in London. The star brightened up the red carpet in this bright yellow dress, channelling ‘Little Miss Sunshine’.
We love that Emma took a risk with this goth-inspired Gucci gown at the Paris premiere of ‘The Amazing Spider-Man.’
Emma is becoming more fashion-forward as the years go by, she makes a structural statement at the ‘Crazy, Stupid, Love’ premiere in a Tom Ford lace dress with pointy hips and Christian Louboutin heels.
Balenciaga at The 16th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards. Stone aims for old-school allure at the 2011 Critics Choice Awards in this classy and slinky Balenciaga's gown with necklace-style chain halter and loosely pinned flaxen hair.
Calvin Klein Collection at the 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards. In a bold move, Emma rocks a peach Calvin Klein full-length, backless dress for the 2011 Golden Globes. She keeps all eyes on the dress by wearing her hair up and having minimal gold accessories. Spectacular in its simplicity paired with jewellery by Van Cleef & Arpels.
Jason Wu at the 17th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards. Emerald is one of the hottest colours this winter, but Emma is always one to step ahead of the trends. She wore this Jason Wu dress with teardrop cut-outs along her décolletage at the 17th annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards in January 2012, a full year before it went commercial. Emma looked fabulous in a belted, emerald gown with charming keyhole cut-outs. Got to love green on a redhead!
Lanvin dress and Cartier clutch at the 69th Annual Golden Globe Awards. Our favourite sizzling redhead manages to combine high-fashion and glamour into one red-hot ensemble. She stood out on the Golden Globes red carpet in a deep-plum Lanvin tulle gown with raspberry side panels, strappy sandals and an embellished belt. The intense eye makeup and sophisticated up-do keeps all eyes on her. As it should be.
