Engaged couple die in accident at Pagoh toll plaza junction

A man and a woman who were believed engaged died when the Perodua Viva they were travelling in collided with a four-wheel drive vehicle at the junction of Pagoh toll plaza at noon today.
Muar police chief ACP Azman Ayob said in the 12.40 pm incident, the 35 year-old man and the 24-year-old woman died at the scene of severe head and body injuries.
"Initial investigations show the accident was believed to have occurred when the Perodua Viva driven by the male victim was turning from Pagoh toll towards Muar when it collided with the four-wheel drive vehicle."
Azman said the remains of both victims were sent to Sultanah Fatimah Specialist Hospital for post-mortem.
The driver of the four-wheel drive vehicle was treated at Pagoh Health Clinic. -- Bernama
