Engineer detained in connection with UPSR 'leaks'

The six persons who had been detained earlier were five teachers and an insurance agent.
An engineer was nabbed in Kemaman Monday, in connection with the primary six examination (UPSR) paper leak, bringing the number of persons detained, to seven.
Kuala Lumpur, CID chief SAC Gan Kong Meng said the man aged 34, was detained at 1 pm yesterday.
"The man will be brought to the Putrajaya Court and will be remanded tomorrow," he said in a statement.
The six persons who had been detained earlier were five teachers and an insurance agent.
Following the leak, the examination for the English papers, 014/1 and 014/2 which the pupils had sat for on Thursday was discounted, while the examination for the Science papers, 018, 028 and 038, which was to be held the same day, was suspended.
The Malaysian Examinations Syndicate has set Sept 30 as the new examination date for both papers.
