Siti Fairrah Ashykin Kamaruddin, better known as Kiki, the outraged woman driver who was filmed badgering an elderly man’s vehicle with a steering lock in Kuantan has joined Perkasa, The Malay Mail Online reported.
The online news portal said Kiki who was previously a member of the Malay rights group Pahang branch has decided to change to the Selangor Perkasa bureau.
“She came by to collect her membership certificate and card today,” Selangor Perkasa chief Abu Bakar Yahya, told the portal.
Last month, Selangor Perkasa raised funds to help pay for her RM5,000 fine imposed by the Sessions Court as a gesture “to help Malays”.
“I didn’t want to ask her the reason why she joined. But it’s okay, what’s wrong with her joining? If she is low spirited, we can help keep her spirits up,” said Abu Bakar.
The Malay Mail Online reported that Selangor Perkasa had posted on its Facebook page, a photo of Kiki and another new member holding their respective certificates.
Kiki, became an overnight sensation for all the wrong reasons after a video of the incident which was recorded by a bystander uploaded on to YouTube before it went viral in social media.
The footage showed the 30-year-old Kiki hammering the man's car with a steering lock, demanding him to pay her on the spot for the damage to her spanking brand new Peugeot 208.
The video which went viral also saw Kiki screaming … “I don’t care, pay me RM2,000 now!” and “you very stupid!” with intermittent racial slurs at the end of the video.
