Epsom College opens its doors in Malaysia

Steeped in history, the 150 year old Epsom College opened its door to give a glimpse of what awaits the first 200 students in September.
Built in Bandar Enstek, Negeri Sembilan and costing USD60 million, Epsom College aims to provide the best of British education in Asia.
Astro AWANI, together with the Southeast Asian media was given the chance to tour the facilities at Epsom College.
Members of the media were also introduced to Chairman of Governors, Tan Sri Tony Fernandes and Headmaster, Martin George.
According to Tan Sri Tony, one of the aims of bringing the college to Malaysia is to make the experience of studying in the UK more accessible.
Epsom College will also offer scholarships to bright students to further open the experience to students of different background.
Amongst the notable facilities include, the library, with RM1 million to spend on books in 2014 alone, the boarding houses and the art and design center.
Epsom College is committed to promoting an inclusive, family oriented and supportive boarding culture through dedicated and experienced UK boarding house staffs.
Epsom’s approach to student boarding fosters a community atmosphere among students and embraces personal development of student through innovation and creativity.
The highlight of the tour include the sporting facilities with 3 astro turf football pitches, 2 rugby pitches and 3 squash courts.
The art and design facilities include a 600-seat theatre, recital hall and a specialist Art and Design technology Center.
The tour was also joined by Head Girl, Upper Sixth Epsom College UK Brianna Norris who was accepted to study chemistry at Oxford University.
Epsom College gave birth to notable alumnae including historian and broadcaster for BBC and National Geographic, Suzannah Lipscomb, Romanian Cabinet Minister, Razvan Orasanu and 2010 British Ambassador to Japan Sir David Warren.
Epsom College in Malaysia Is currently holding Entry Assessments for pupil at the College’s KL office in Publika, Solaris Dutamas.
