The Eastern Sabah Security Command (ESSCOM) today has denied a report from the Philippines media which claimed that eight Malaysian forces were killed during an attack by intruders at Felda Sahabat, Lahad Datu recently.
In a report by Berita Harian, ESSCOM director general Datuk Mohammad Mentek said that the news was merely a propaganda to ignite fear among the people of Sabah especially in the east coast.
The Manila Times yesterday reported that a clash had took place between the Malaysian security forces and Jamalul Kiram III's followers, last Friday.
The report also claimed that the eight security personnel who were said to be killed, were ambushed by at least 50 intruders headed by a 'top officer' named Utuh Ubie.
