Ethical reporting during GE15 campaign - Annuar
Annuar said he hopes all parties will respect media practitioners because they are professionals and they do not take sides with any party. - BERNAMA
BAGAN DATUK: News reporting by media agencies including new media during the 15th General Election (GE15) campaign is ethical, said Communications and Multimedia Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa.
He said the ministry had not received any reports on false news or news touching on the sensitivity of race, religion and royal institutions since the nomination on Nov 5.
"Overall, I can see good news reporting and I hope that they will continue until the polling day," he told reporters after handing over Peranti Siswa devices to 93 students from two schools, namely Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Tun Abdul Razak and SMK Khir Johari here today.
Today is early voting for GE15 and the Election Commission (EC) has set Nov 19 as polling day.
"I hope all parties will respect media practitioners because they are professionals and they do not take sides with any party," said Annuar.
