Former national footballer Radhi Mat Din of Perikatan Nasional has won the Alor Mengkudu state seat in Kedah.
He defeated Kedah Pakatan Harapan chairman Datuk Mahfuz Omar with a majority of 10,104 thousand votes.
A total of 72.70 per cent of the 38,193 registered voters in the seat cast their ballots today.
This is the second time Radhi and Mahfuz have faced each other in an election.
In 2018, the former Kedah FA captain took on the Amanah vice-president in the Pokok Sena parliamentary seat, with Mahfuz emerging as winner in a three-cornered fight.
However, he lost to the seat to Perikatan Nasional's Datuk Ahmad Yahya in GE15.
