Pakatan Rakyat had fooled former Federal Court judge Abdul Kadir Sulaiman to be a candidate for the Dewan Rakyat Speaker, alleged former minister Datuk Seri Noh Omar.
The Tanjung Karang MP claimed the opposition bloc managed to convince the latter to be nominated despite knowing for a fact that the man will not be elected as the majority belonged to Barisan Nasional.
"The Pakatan style is very subtle. Take for example yesterday, how can they manage to convince a former judge and fool him into thinking he can be Speaker."
"When everyone knows that the majority is held by BN. The ex-judge even came to Parliament and was ready to take the position if he won," he said.
"This is the type of lies that they resort to."
Noh was commenting on the King's speech where Yang Di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Tuanku Abdul Halim Mua'adzam Shah asked all parties to accept the 13th General Election result.
"The King asked all to respect the Constitution and law... and whoever it is that governs... if the people don't respect the law there will be chaos," he said.
"So now the election is over... and we have been sworn in as MPs. But outside we see there are still parties who poison their thinking of the people. They are trying to create a culture where the rakyat are never satisfied... with the government institutions."
"If they can fool an ex-judge... what more the people?"
Abdul Kadir, 73, retired as a Federal Court judge on March 28, 2006. Yesterday, he received 89 votes at the Dewan Rakyat and lost to Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia who was re-elected as Speaker with 133 votes from the House.
