An excavator driver was killed after he was buried in a landslide incident at Taman Sri Mutiara Gading, Sri Gading, near Batu Pahat, today.
The victim, Mohd Zainal Abd Latef, 31, was from Kampung Batu Embun, Jerantut, Pahang.
Batu Pahat police chief ACP Abdul Wahib Musa said when Mohd Zainal was carrying excavation works at a construction site, a sudden landslide occurred, burying him in.
"The search for Mohd Zainal began at 10am, and his body was later found by his colleagues," he said adding the fire and rescue department then arrived to help retrieve it before being taken to the Sultanah Nora Ismail Hospital in Batu Pahat for post-mortem.
