KUALA LUMPUR: Amid Chinese president Xi Jinping's visit, Malaysia is walking a diplomatic tightrope with poise.

Highlighting the close and enduring ties between China and Malaysia, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim underscored the country’s steadfast commitment to maintaining strategic neutrality, ensuring Malaysia does not get caught in the crossfire of the escalating economic rivalry between the United States and China.

Rather than choosing sides, Malaysia is choosing strength by building resilient, mutually beneficial relationships with both superpowers, while firmly anchoring its foreign policy in national interest and regional stability.
