'Facilities in Malaysia will attract Muslim tourists'
Tourism Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen believes with the availability of halal food and Islamic-based facilities in Malaysia will attract more Muslim tourists to the country.
She added with the tourist-friendly infrastructure provided, this will also attract more tourists.
The number of tourists flocking into this country is expected to increase based on the campaigns organised.
For example, a joint exhibition between World Islamic Tourism Mart and Malaysia International Tourism Exchange (WITM-MITE 2013) which will be held this June.
The exhibiton will provide opportunities for local tourism industry players to expand their business networks to other Muslim countries.
WITM-MITE 2013 is a tourism exhibition which combines travel agencies from various countries.
It will be held at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) for four days starting June 6, 2013.
