Factory manager burnt to death in Perai road accident

A factory manager was burnt to death after his car caught fire following an accident with a lorry here last night.
Yong Peng Foo, 53, died after he was trapped in the Honda City car he was driving along Lorong Perindustrian 2 in the Perai Industrial Area, according to the Perai Fire and Rescue Station.
Its chief, Deputy Superintendent A'azelan Hassan, said the station was notified of the accident at 11.35pm.
"The victim's car was caught in the rear of the lorry and almost 70 per cent of the front part of the vehicle was burnt. The victim was unable to get out as the fire spread quickly," he said here today.
A'azelan said fire-fighters took almost 30 minutes to control and put out the fire.
Yong's body was sent to the Seberang Jaya Hospital, he added.
