Factory razed by fire in Kuala Kubu Bahru

Selangor Fire and Rescue assistant operations director Mohd Sani Harul said the department received a call on the incident at 4.40 pm.

"When the firemen arrived at the scene, the fire was raging with almost the entire factory destroyed. No fatal casualties or injuries were reported," he said here today.

He said five fire engines with 33 personnel and officers from the Batu Arang, Rawang, Bestari Jaya, Selayang and Tanjung Malim fire and rescue stations were rushed to the scene.

Until 7.30 pm, firemen were still trying to extinguish the fire and thick smoke could be seen from a distance of one kilometre, he said.

The cause of the fire and amount of losses incurred are still being investigated.
