Fake e-mail bearing Rosmah's name

The public is warned to be wary of a fake e-mail bearing the name of the Prime Minister's wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor.

The Prime Minister's Office in a statement today confirmed the e-mail used a fake account and had malicious intentions.

"The Prime Minister's Office was informed of a fake e-mail using the name of Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor being spread on the Internet.

"It is hoped members of the public are not easily influenced by the agenda of the perpetrators of the e-mail who are trying to tarnish the good name of the Prime Minister's wife," said the statement.

The Prime Minister's Office also stated that a police report had been lodged over the matter.
