Families informed of RMAF camp shooting incident

KUCHING: The next-of-kin of four Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) personnel who were killed in the shooting incident at the RMAF Camp in Kota Samarahan here early today have been informed of the incident.
The RMAF in a statement said the personnel were Cpl Mohamad Ehsan Sehamat from Asajaya Laut, Samarahan; Cpl Ho Swee Boon from Lundu; Aircraftman Luk Nesly Anak Nabau from Sibu and Cpl Sharif Mohd Siddiq Al-Attas Wan Sabli from Seniawan, Bau.
"All those who died were from Sarawak and were married," the statement read.
It also urged all quarters not to speculate on the shooting incident as the case is currently under police investigation.
Meanwhile, the RMAF said its chief Gen Tan Sri Ackbal Abdul Samad had met with the next-of-kin of the personnel and handed over assistance from the RMAF Welfare Fund.
"The RMAF is making the funeral arrangements and handling and welfare of the next-of-kin," according to the statement.
