Father of teenagers in dog attack hopes they will recover

The father of two teenagers in coma after being attacked by a pack of stray dogs in Taman Cermai, Permatang Pauh hopes they will recover.
Zolkifly Md Lazim, 50, said his two sons who were seriously hurt in the head and body had regained consciousness after receiving treatment at a private hospital in Bayan Baru.
"Doctors did not say when they can be discharged from hospital as results of laboratory tests are still not ready.
"I hope Suhail and Omar will fully recover. They complained of pain in the head and vomiting after eating," he said when contacted Saturday.
In the incident at 3pm on Dec 25, Suhail,14, and Omar,11, were playing in Taman Cermai, Permatang Pauh when attacked by a pack of stray dogs.
As a result of the attack, they fell and fractured the skull. Suhail and Omar were in coma for three days.
Zolkifly said on that day, he was away in Alor Setar when he received a telephone call on what happened to his two sons.
"I rushed home after told that they suffered serious head injuries and their skulls were fractured. There are just too many dogs in my housing area."
Meanwhile, secretary of Seberang Perai Municipal Council Rozali Mohamod regretted what happened to the two teenagers who nearly died when attacked by stray dogs.
"After learning about the incident, I sent a team of dog catchers who managed to capture ten stray dogs in Taman Cermai," he added.
