PUTRAJAYA: 'Ya Allah. Ya Allah. Ya Allah.' Those were the last words and screaming heard inside aircraft N28JV before it crashed in Bandar Elmina, Shah Alam on Aug 17 last year.
This was revealed in the audio transcript from the cockpit voice recorder (CVR) in the final report on the tragic plane crash issued by the Ministry of Transport (MOT) Air Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) today.
The audio transcript from the CVR of the Beechcraft Model 390 was not included in the preliminary incident report issued on Sept 15 last year.
The 148-page final report said the aircraft had an L3Harris FA2100 CVR, which was recovered and its data was successfully downloaded with technical assistance.
"The CVR recording offered crucial insights into the probable cause of the accident, directing investigators to concentrate on the most likely cause of the accident," the report said.
According to the report, weather was not a contributing factor to the cause of the accident.
"Meteorological Aerodrome Report data confirmed good weather conditions at the time of the accident.
"The weather was fine with visibility over 10 kilometres and variable winds at 5 knots," the report said.
The privately owned Beechcraft Model 390 (Premier 1) crashed in Elmina, killing all eight on board (six passengers and two flight crew members), one e-hailing driver and a p-hailing motorcyclist.
