A final year medical student at Segi College Sarawak was feared missing after she failed to return home since Monday.
Siti Fatimatuzzahrah Bumidin, 25, currently undergoing training at the Sibu Hospital, and from Ipoh, Perak, was last seen by her friend as she was leaving their house in Lorong 21, Taman Permai here alone at about 1 pm on Saturday.
However, Siti Fatimatuzzahrah, who is 140cm tall and weighs about 45kg, did not inform her housemate on her destination.
Her mobile phone failed to be reached.
Her uncle, Ishak Rahmad, a photographer with Utusan Malaysia contacted Bernama today to seek help from the public to locate his niece and to contact the nearest police station if they have any information.
He said a police report on the missing student has been lodged at the Sibu Central Police Station by her housemate at 4.47 pm yesterday.
The police have also informed the staff at the Sibu Airport to check if there was any sign of Fatimatuzzahrah leaving the town via air.
Meanwhile Sibu District deputy police chief Supt Martin Khoo said police would interview her friends and notify her family if there was any new development.
Those with information can call the Sibu police hotline 084-322222. -- BERNAMA
