Fine weather expected on Aidilfitri morning

The weather on Aidilfitri morning on July 6 and July 7 has been forecast to be fine nationwide.

However, rain could be expected in the evening and night, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department in a statement Monday.

"In the evening, rain and thunderstorm are expected over several areas throughout the peninsula and in Sarawak, that is, Bintulu, Miri, Limbang and Kapit.

"The west coast of Sabah, Kudat and Sandakan as well as Labuan federal territory would likely experience isolated rain and thunderstorm," it said.

At night, the statement said, rain is expected to occur over certain areas in Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, Perak, Kedah, as well as Kuching, Samarahan, Kapit, Miri and Limbang.

Rain is also forecast for certain areas in the interior and west coast of Sabah, Tawau and Sandakan, it said.
