Twenty-five squatter homes were razed to the ground in a fire near Scott Garden in Old Klang Road here Tuesday evening.

Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department operations chief Samsol Maarif Saibani told news portal The Star, the fire broke out at approximately 7.40pm.

The semi-wooden homes were completely destroyed by the fire which is believed to have caused by short-circuit.

A total of 80 firemen were able to bring the fire under control after about 60 minutes.
