Firemen rescue 152 children, teenagers trapped on Bukit Broga

A total of 152 children, teenagers and 40 advertising filming crew were rescued from the summit of Bukit Broga, Semenyih at 7.25pm Friday.

They were rescued by Fire and Rescue Department officers after trapped on top of the hill for several hours due to heavy rainfall.

Semenyih Fire and Rescue Department's Asst Supt Khairul Anuar Yaacob said, they received a call at 3.15pm and 11 members rushed to the scene.

"It is understood that they went up the hill at 5am to shoot a beverage advertisement but failed to climb down following heavy rain this (Friday) afternoon."

Khairul Anuar said all the victims were brought down from the hill in stages starting with the children and teenagers.
