The first batch of 61 Bangladeshi victims of human trafficking detained at Belantik Immigration detention depot in Kedah will be repatriated today.
According to a Wisma Putra statement Wednesday, the repatriation exercise to be carried out in stages was decided following discussions held between the Foreign Ministry and the Bangladesh High Commission in Kuala Lumpur.
The Bangladeshis would be transported by bus from Belantik Immigration detention depot to the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) for their flight home to Dhaka, said the statement.
