NATIONAL diving queen, Pandelela Rinong has expressed her respect for Muslims who fasted for a month during Ramadan.

The Bau, Sarawak-born athlete, through her official Instagram posts a few days ago, shared her experience of fasting a full day.

“The first time fasting all day made me feel the pleasure of being really thirsty. I really respect Muslims who fast for a month.

"I’m full of admiration at my Muslim athlete friends who fast," she said.

First time doing full fasting got me real thirsty. I truly respect the Muslims who can fast for 1 whole month. If I just lie in bed doing nothing maybe I can continue, but I cannot, especially after doing workouts. Salute to all my athlete friends!#fasting #selamatberpuasa #breakfast #bulanpuasa #fastingishard
