Five Baling candidates in the dark on results
Five candidates who contested for the Baling UMNO Division Wanita committee posts claimed that they were not informed of the election results since last Saturday.
They claimed that they had contacted the movement's secretary but failed to get a positive answer.
One of the candidates who lodged a report at the Baling District Police station, alleged that she felt cheated and discriminated by the action of the relevant authorities.
Hasliza Harun, 48, claimed that until today she was not informed if she had won or lost in the race for a division committee member's post she had contested.
Hasliza, who was a former secretary of the Baling UMNO Division Wanita movement said keeping mum about the matter proved that the management of the election had discriminated the candidates.
"The results of the Baling UMNO Division Wanita contest were announced at 4.30am but not all the results were announced and this has resulted in misunderstanding between the delegates.
"We will surrender evidence including photographs of irrelevant parties who were inside the election hall and vote counting room," she said.
