Five killed, four injured in two accidents in Gua Musang

Five people were killed and four seriously injured in two separate road accidents on Saturday.
The deceased were Kuala Terengganu Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) worker Mohd Kosim Rashid, 39, his sister-in-law, teacher Azliana Ab Kadir, 30, Suhariza Hassan, 35, Zulkifli Talib, 46, and Mohd Zuki Ariffin, 41.
In the first incident, Mohd Kosim and Azliana, who taught in Sarawak, were killed on the spot when the car which the former was driving, collided with another car at Jalan Chiku–Aring in Aring 8 here about 10.30am.
The injured were Mohd Kosim's wife, Arini Ab Kadir, 37, who is seven months' pregnant and the couple's children, Mohd Aniq Izat Mohd Kosim, 10, Umairi, nine, and Alisha Balkiq, six.
The injured were treated at the Gua Musang Hospital.
In the second accident three hours later at the KM17 Jalan Gua Musang-Kuala Krai, friends Suhariza, Zulkifli and Mohd Zuki were killed when the car they were travelling in, collided with a tour bus.
The trio died on the spot.
Gua Musang police chief Supt Saiful Bahri Abdullah confirmed both accidents.
