KUALA LUMPUR:Today marks the 302nd day of the implementation of the Movement Control Order (MCO) and the 218th day of the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO).
Here are five highlights of the media statement by Senior Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri, today:
1. A total 252 people were compounded while one was remanded yesterday for disobeying MCO directives.
2. Among the offences include not wearing face masks (115), failing to provide proper customer registration tools (88), premises operating overtime or without permission (23), entertainment centre activities (16) and failing to practise proper physical distancing (11).
3. A total of 18 illegal immigrants were also detained in Ops Benteng carried out jointly by the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM), Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM), Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (APMM) and Malaysian Border Security Agency (AKSEM).
4. A total of 111 roadblocks (SJR) were mounted nationwide from yesterday.
5. A total of 103,054 individuals have returned home via the international border entrance with 8,474 individuals undergoing compulsory quarantine.
