KUALA LUMPUR:Several areas around downtown Kuala Lumpur have been hit by flash floods following heavy rains since about 5pm on Tuesday.
According to a tweet on Astro Radio Traffic's official Twitter account @astrotraffic, the situation caused some vehicles to be damaged.
Traffic conditions were also affected and road users also faced congestion due to the floods.
Among the areas involved are Jalan Ampang, Jalan Munsyi Abdullah, Jalan Taman Setiawangsa, Jalan Kuching, Jalan Tuanku Abdul Halim, Jalan Maharajalela and Jalan Parlimen.
On the DUKE Highway, a social media user uploaded a video showing the highway being flooded.
Following the situation, road users are advised to be careful.
