Flight MH192 safely arrives at Bengaluru Airport

Malaysia Airlines Flight MH192 which re-departed Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) at 3.35pm safely arrived at Bengaluru airport in Bangalore at 5.00pm Monday.

The original flight, MH192 had to turn back to Kuala Lumpur International Airport last night after one of the aircraft's tyres on the right hand main landing gear burst during takeoff, the airline said in a statement released here.

The aircraft then made a safe emergency landing at KLIA at 1:56am. All 159 passengers were given immediate assistance and accommodation at nearby hotels.

Safety of passengers was of utmost importance to Malaysia Airlines, the statement added.
