Flood and landslide in KL due to heavy rain

Many roads in Kuala Lumpur were flooded and a landslide occurred in Jalan Ampang due to heavy rain yesterday. The 25-metre high landslide, which occured in front of the Dang Wangi LRT station, covered and damaged nine cars. Beside, there were also trees that have fallen and this has led to road closures and traffic jams. Some of roads that were closed include Jalan Mahameru to Jalan Tun Razak, Jalan Sultan Salehuddin behind Bank Negara and Jalan Ampang to Bukit Nanas. Maintenance works have begun in Jalan Mahameru to PWTC where, Jalan Salahuddin and Jalan Bellfield this morning. Meanwhile, the recently elected Tititwangsa MP Datuk Johari Abdul Ghani paid a visit to the area effected with his team. He said that the staff who have been in charge of the river pump was not efficient.
