The flood situation in Batu Pahat near here continues to improve when only 301 victims from 84 families are still in the three relief centres as at 9 am today.
In comparison 328 victims from 91 families were still accomodated at these relief centres yesterday.
Batu Pahat district officer Mohd Halim Hasbullah said, out of the total, 62 victims from 15 families are accomodated at SMK Suria Perdana, SK Seri Paya (100 victims from 35 families) and SK Parit Bingan (139 victims from 34 familes).
"If the flood situation continues to improve at noon, the relief centre at SMK Suria Perdana will be closed while the others will remain," he said when contacted by Bernama here today.
