Flood continue to improve in Kelantan, Terengganu and Perak
Flood conditions in Kelantan, Terengganu and Perak continued to improve due to prevailing good weather while the number of flood victims at relief centres dropped from 2,289 last night to 1,888 this morning.
In KELANTAN, the number of flood victims staying at 10 flood relief centres in three districts dropped from 2,112 to 1,713.
According to the state's official portal, the victims comprised 1,535 in Pasir Mas, Tumpat (154) and Pasir Puteh (24).
Water level at Sungai Golok in Rantau Panjang however, remained above the danger level at 9.98m against the danger level of 9m.
The duty free zone in Rantau Panjang was opened this morning while good weather condition was reported in Kelantan this morning.
In TERENGGANU, the number of flood evacuees staying at two flood relief centres remained at 80, namely in the Setiu district where 18 families are affected.
According to the National Security Council (NSC) website, the Permaisuri-Hulu Seladang (Kg. Besut) road in Section 10, Setiu, remained closed for light traffic.
In PERAK, the NSC reported that only Manjung was affected by floods with 95 victims housed at a flood relief centre.
