Flood in Pahang almost over

Pahang has almost fully recovered from the floods as the number of victims at relief centres has dropped drastically to 59 compared with 827 people in the evening.

According to Pahang Police Contingent Headquarters Flood Operations Room spokesman, only the districts of Pekan and Maran had flood victims as of 9pm.

"Meanwhile, all 27 flood victims from six families at two relief centres in Kuantan have been allowed to go home at 6pm," he told Bernama here Tuesday.

He said, 41 flood victims from 10 families were still at three relief centres in Pekan while only one relief centre remained open in Maran to house 18 people from six families.
