Flood victims evacuated to nearby relief centres

Flood victims in several states nationwide have been evacuated to nearby relief centres.
A total of 297 victims were evacuated to seven relief centres in Manjung, Central Perak and Larut Matang in Perak.
In Selangor, 15 people were evacuated to two such centres around Dengkil.
Meanwhile, in Terengganu, 758 people were evacuated to 15 relief centres in Setiu, Besut, Dungun and Hulu Terengganu.
In Kelantan, a total 1123 victims were evacuated to ten relief centres in Tanah merah, Pasir Puteh, Bachok dan Kuala Krai.
According to the Kelantan education department director Hussain Awang, among the schools that are closed due to the floods include Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Rantau Panjang, Sekolah Menengah Agama Kerajaan Diniah Bongor, Sekolah Kebangsaan Rahmat and Sekolah Kebangsaan Rantau Panjang.
He added two schools in Pasir Puteh - Sekolah Kebangsaan Kamil and Sekolah Kebangsaan Changai - have been turned into relief centres.
Meanwhile, nine schools in Rantau Panjang will be closed today following the floods.
A total of 17 schools allowed students to go back as early as 10am as a safety precaution.
