Forty residents of Felda Kota Gelanggi, near here, who were evacuated to a flood relief centre after their houses were flooded yesterday, were allowed to return home this morning.
The victims, comprising seven families, were placed at the Felda Kota Gelanggi Community Hall since 3am yesterday, and were allowed to return home beginning 8am.
Jerantut OCPD, Supt Azid Ismail said all the victims were allowed to return home as the water level in their areas had receded.
"Their houses were earlier under between 1 and 1.5 metres of water but the water level had dropped and they were allowed to return home this morning," he said.
The flood was due to heavy rain two days ago. However, he reminded residents in the district, especially those staying near the Pahang River, to be ready to face the flood.
