A section of the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA2) terminal was reported to have been covered with a puddle of water yesterday evening.
AirAsia Group CEO, Tan Sri Tony Fernandes shared a picture of the wet portion of the terminal on his official Twitter account.
The picture shared on Monday received over 800 retweets with many criticizing the situation.
There were those who said that the controversial construction of the airport may be the reason of the incident.
Many also hoped that the situation could be solved.
The incident may cause the country’s credibility to be questioned as KLIA2 is seen as a tourism centre.
Malaysia Airport Holdings Berhad (MAHB) meanwhile via its official twitter account provided their explanation to the situation.
According to MAHB, the wet floor at the skybridge was caused by clogged drains which has been rectified.
