The Kemaman district had the highest number of evacuees at 991, followed by Hulu Terengganu (474); Dungun (231) and Marang (eight), according to the secretariat of the state flood disaster management committee.
It said the evacuees were being housed at 31 relief centres, 15 of them in Kemaman, 11 in Hulu Terengganu, four in Dungun and one in Marang.
The weather was fine this morning in Terengganu.
