Floods: Two more deaths reported
Two more flood related death were reported on Thursday night one in Negeri Sembilan, and the other in Terengganu, bringing the death toll as a result of floods that have hit the country this monsoon season to seven people thus far.
According the National Security Council website, a victim drowned in Jelebu in Negeri Sembilan and another in Setiu, Terengganu.
In TERENGGANU, floods have claimed six lives so far, three in Kemaman, three in Setiu and one in Kuala Terengganu.
As of 10.30pm Thursday, more flood victims have been evacuated to shelters in Kelantan and Terengganu as compared to this afternoon, the total number of people displaced rising from 21,800 victims to 22,609.
The same was reported in Pahang, with the number of people in shelters rising from 435 people in the afternoon to 448 last night.
