The traffic flow out of the federal capital is still under control as at 10 am today, although at some locations it was reported to be slow moving.
A spokesman at the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM), when contacted, said the flow of traffic heading to the east coast states was a bit slow at Genting Sempah tunnel and at Bukit Tinggi to the Bentong toll plaza.
She said the traffic flow towards the north was getting slower from Slim River to Sungkai, while the traffic flow to the south was still smooth.
She expected the number of vehicles on the highways to increase further with more people leaving to retun to their hometown for the Aidilfitri celebration.
