IPOH:A former finance administrative assistant was fined RM20,000, in default 14 months’ jail, after he pleaded guilty to seven of the 34 charges for using forged payment receipts as genuine documents.
Judge S. Indra Nehru meted out the fine on Ruddy Nezeri Kamarudin, 38, who was discharged and acquitted of the remaining charges under Section 171A of the Criminal Procedure Code.
On all the charges, Ruddy Nezeri was charged with using as genuine forged documents, namely receipts of payments for parking coupons for the year 2011, which he had reason to believe that the documents were forged.
He was charged with committing the offence at the Kampar District Council office, Kampar District Council Administrative Complex, Jalan Iskandar, in Kampar between Feb 10, 2011 to Aug 2, 2011.
The prosecution was conducted by deputy public prosecutor Nurul Wahida Jalaluddin, while Ruddy Nezeri was unrepresented.
