Former IGP's son dies after falling into drain
The son of former Inspector-General of Police, Tun Hanif Omar (pic) died after falling into a drain early Tuesday morning.
Ahmad Jamal Omar Mohd Hanif, 40, had fallen into a drain at Jalan Catur 11/1C, Seksyen 11 in Shah Alam at 6.25am and died due to head injuries.
His body has been taken to the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Klang for post-mortem.
Police have classified the case as sudden death.
The burial will take place after Zuhur prayers today.
When contacted, Selangor police chief Datuk Mohd Shukri Dahlan confirmed the incident.
